Support Mamre Project

While Mamre attracts some Federal and State Government funding, it only represents a small proportion of the finance required to run our programs - to bring much needed assistance to our area.

Would You Like To Help Our Mamre Work? You have the opportunity to help in a variety of ways from cash and in kind donations to volunteering, workplace giving or corporate partnerships. Details are listed below.

Mamre Corporate Partnerships.

Donations and Volunteering

Donations

Mamre is a registered charity and therefore attracts Deductible Gift Recipient status. This means that all cash donations over two dollars are tax deductible. If you would like to make a cash donation please see 'Contact Us' for information. Receipts will be issued with each donation.

It is also possible to support Mamre through 'in kind' donations. Examples of these include: building materials, office equipment, craft items and cakes for our annual Fair, garden products eg soil, mulch etc, raffle prizes, A4 paper to recycle in our Computer Course, plastic shopping bags to recycle.

Volunteering

Some people are looking for ways to make a meaningful contribution in the community. Mamre has opportunities available. The following are some examples: gardening, accounting, marketing and promotion, bus driving, cleaning, reception duties, business mentoring, teaching English to newly arrived refugees and child-care.

Some of these require qualifications, skills and/or experience and vacancies may not always be available.

Workplace Giving Partnership

A new initiative by the Australian Taxation Office and the Australian Charities Fund.

This scheme allows employees to arrange automatic deductions from their salaries to be paid to nominated charities. The advantages of the initiative are two-fold. The nominated charities will receive regular donations direct from the employer while the employee will benefit from donating nominated amounts over $2.00 from their pre-tax salary.

Under this arrangement there is no need for employees to keep receipts to claim a tax deduction at the end of the financial year. The nominated charity and the full year deduction will appear on the group certificate.

Contact your employer today about setting up a Workplace Giving Partnership with The Mamre Project.
