Each year we hold a variety of feature events which are great additions to your social calendar: Valentine's Day; Mother's and Father's Day; Yulefest; the Mamre Good Food, Wine and Produce Festival and our Nursery Plant Sales.

Annual Special Events at Mamre

Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is hosted in the historic and intimate Mamre Homestead. The surrounding grounds provide a romantic atmosphere. A delightful menu has been organised by our chef and couples will spend an enjoyable evening accompanied by live music especially chosen to deepen the romance. We have had the occasional proposal - then the wedding!

Mother’s and Father’s Days

Mother’s and Father’s Days have always been a special feature at Mamre when we do all we can to make the day special for these wonderful members of our families. Come for Breakfast or Lunch and enjoy our specially chosen menu. Book early! We are usually booked out weeks in advance.

Mamre Good Food, Wine and Produce Festival

The Festival is Mamre’s major fundraising event for the year and is always held on the third Sunday in October. Highlights include 70 stalls of quality crafts, plenty of entertainment, special demonstrations, a monster chocolate wheel, renowned Homestead Devonshire teas/coffees, sausage sizzle, pony rides, children's carnival rides, and much more. Entry: Gold coin donation. A great community day!

Nursery Plant Sales

Nursery Plant Sales are held in autumn and spring. Plants are grown by employees of our Garden Services team and are healthy and hardy and ready to flourish in your garden. Plants are on sale all year round but for a special deal come along to our Plants Sale days.

Yulefest

Yulefest is held over selected Saturday nights in July and August.

Come and join the fun - traditional Christmas fare, cooked to perfection and served to the sound of Christmas Carols - and there is always a special guest from the North Pole! Our log fires keep you cosy and content as you enjoy your selection from a two or three course menu. A great group event - family, friends or work mates. Book early.

Guided Tours Available

Visitors to Mamre can take in a guided tour of the Homestead and property which bring Mamre’s History to life.
