Mamre Homestead, was built in the c1820s

Samuel Marsden, Colonial Chaplain, Magistrate and Pastoralist.
What was it originally used for?
It was the working farmhouse of a busy rural property, a model farm which included orchards, exotic pasture and other crops. See more about the History of Mamre.
How long have the train carriages been here? Where are they from?
The 9 Guards vans, arrived from the Hunter Valley: 1986. After they were cleaned of graffiti & refurbished, they were used to: accommodate training programs; for administration; house the Sisters of Mercy & a chapel and for storage purposes.

What are your Open Hours? Office Hours are:
9 am to 4.30pm Daily. Closed Public Holidays and from the last week of December and the first 2 weeks of January (inclusive).

What are the Homestead Opening Hours?
10:00 am to 2:30pm Tuesday to Friday
9:00 am to 4:30pm Sundays
Saturdays - Open for Booked Functions.
How to Get to Mamre?
Located just 200 metres South West of the M4 Overpass from Sydney or the Blue Mountains - Turn off the M4 at Mamre Road.
